SAHP lecturer awarded prestigious research scholarship
Dr. Alison Aries has been awarded a prestigious West Midlands CRN Clinical Research Scholarship.
This scholarship will enable her to take forwards her research relating to somatosensory stimulation to the lower limb after stroke. This is important work; quality of life post-stroke could potentially be improved if balance and walking can be enhanced by increased sensory input. This scholarship will enable Alison to work with the experts in Keele clinical trials unit (CTU) one day a week for two years.
Ali said she is excited about the prospect of taking this work forwards and would like to thank all the people who have made this next step in her research journey a reality, especially Dr. Sue Hunter.
