Edible Campus

A student-led campaign to create planters located around the campus containing fresh herbs that students can look after, pick, and use in their own cooking.

The Edible Campus initiative is a partnership between students, KeeleSU (Student Officers, and Volunteering) and Keele University (Green Keele, Sports Keele, Keele Grounds).

There are gardening planters located within the courtyard of the Chancellor's Building, and next to Lindsay, Horwood and Barnes Accommodation Halls. There are plans to develop a Wellbeing and Edible Campus garden in one of the David Weatherall courtyards. The existing Student Eats raised allotment beds will also become part of this initiative.

Volunteers will take care for the garden spaces with assistance from the Keele Grounds team to ensure that the gardens are accessible, informative and healthy.

The sites are open and accessible to students and staff to visit at any time. Events and organised volunteering sessions will be located on the Keele App.

If you are a growing enthusiast or just garden curious, this is for you!
