Hardin.MD - very comprehensive collection of resources for health and medicine by the University of IOWA, mostly illustrated.

HEAL - a searchable and browsable database of "over 2,000 [digital] images, audio clips and video clips covering a wide range of medical subjects.

Health on the Net Media Gallery - the media gallery contains over 6,800 images and is indexed by body part and includes images of medical conditions and procedures.

MedPix - free online Medical Image Database, provided by the Departments of Radiology and Biomedical Informatics, Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, MD.

NHS Photo Library - official NHS stock photos which can be used for presentations and official NHS publications. Access is restricted to authorised NHS users, registration requires an NHS email account.

PEIR (Pathology Education Instructional Resource) Digital Library - searchable database of pathology images. Allows limited nonprofit, educational use of the images. Please click on the PEIR "copyright agreement" link to review applicable restrictions.

Public Health Image Library (PHIL) - collection of images covering public health categories such people, places, and science, and is presented as single images, image sets, and multimedia files.

Wellcome Images - click the Explore tab at the bottom of the page and browse the Illness & Wellness collection, or click Favourites for the Health collection; a search facility is also available.
