If you are considering an apprenticeship but are not sure where to start? Don’t worry, our Business Engagement Manager Huw has got you covered.

Hello, I am Huw Morgan, Business Engagement Manager at Keele University, and my focus is on apprenticeships. Apprenticeships are available to individuals from the age of sixteen and upward. Recent changes in the system have made it possible for more people to pursue degree-level and master's-level apprenticeships. Therefore, it presents an opportunity to enhance your career prospects and personal growth at any stage in your life.

When applying for an apprenticeship at Keele University, you can reach out to me or one of my colleagues in our apprenticeship team. We provide personalized guidance to help you determine if the apprenticeship is the right choice for you.

Participating in an apprenticeship can significantly benefit your career. Not only will you achieve an academic qualification, but you will also have the chance to apply and enhance your knowledge, skills, and behaviors throughout the apprenticeship journey.

The amount of time you spend on campus for face-to-face teaching will depend on the specific apprenticeship you choose. Keele University adopts a blended approach, allowing you to meet colleagues and lecturers while also having the flexibility to work from home or your own organization. This approach enables you to strike the right balance between work, life, and study.

The End Point Assessment marks the culmination of your apprenticeship journey, providing an opportunity to demonstrate your learning to an independent assessor.

In three words, I would describe an apprenticeship as elevating, progressing, and training.
