Campus accessibility

Everyone's accessibility needs are different, so it's important for you to have accurate information about our campus so you can determine if Keele is suitable for you.

We work with AccessAble to provide all students, staff and visitors to campus, with detailed accessibility guides to all campus buildings and facilities, using facts, figures and photos.  Please access our guides and let us know if you have any questions.

Also, below is a PDF map of campus showing disabled access routes.

Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)

Some of our disabled students will be asked to complete an initial assessment for a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP).  This includes anyone with a sensory disability, mobility difficulty, epilepsy or any other medical conditions which may impact on an emergency evacuation situation.

The initial assessment will be undertaken by a Disability Adviser.  The assessment will be sent to both the manager of your Halls of Residence and your Disability Inclusion Tutor (DIT).  These members of staff will talk you through the evacuation process and any adjustments required to ensure that you  are able to evacuate any campus building in the quickest and safest way.
