Campus accessibility

Everyone's accessibility needs are different, and so it's important to have accurate information about a place, and if it is going to be accessible to you.

We work with AccessAble to provide all students, staff and visitors to campus with detailed accessibility guides to all buildings/services on campus – using facts, figures and photos. Please access our guides and let us know if you have any questions.

Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)

All severely disabled students will be asked to complete an initial assessment for a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan. This includes anyone with a sensory disability, mobility difficulties or those with epilepsy or other medical conditions which can impact on emergency evacuation.

The initial assessment will be undertaken by a Disability Adviser. The assessment will be sent to both the manager of your halls of residence, and your Disability Liason Officer(s). These members of staff will talk you through the evacuation process and any adjustments required, ensuring that you evacuate any building in the quickest and safest way.
