Joseph’s laboratory is studying tumour microenvironment in ovarian cancer and endometrial (uterine) cancer. We investigate tumour immunity in ovarian cancer, in which we are studying how overexpression of cytokine lymphotoxin affects the infiltration of T and B cells in ovarian tumour microenvironment. Besides, we investigate tumour-stromal interactions in endometrial cancer. We are particularly interested in the process of myometrial invasion (cancer grows and invades in myometrium). We are now studying the interactions between endometrial cancer cells and uterine smooth muscle cells.
