An innovative, new Masters Degree in Adult Nursing has been launched by the Keele University School of Nursing and Midwifery.
This is a unique opportunity for existing graduates with a degree in another discipline who are working in a health care setting to join the nursing profession. Fees will be paid for by the NHS for 2016 entry.
The initiative has been developed in partnership Health Education West Midlands, University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust and Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS Trust.
It is a two-year accelerated pre-registration nursing programme which will complement Keele's very successful BSc in adult nursing currently available. The programme structure is 50% theory and 50% practice learning to ensure that graduates are fully prepared for the role of a registered Adult Nurse. Keele's School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of the top schools in the country, being placed 2nd in the Guardian 2016 league table in UK nursing and midwifery schools.

These students will be the first of this type within the West Midlands. This is becoming a more popular model of nurse education to enable the existing non- registered healthcare workforce make the transition to registered practice.”
