KeeleSU wins Best Bar None Gold Award

Posted on 07 April 2015

KeeleSU has won the Best Bar None Gold Award for the fifth consecutive year.

KeeleSU proudly takes part in the national Best Bar None scheme which includes other Students’ Unions from across the country. The Best Bar None scheme was introduced to reward excellence and raise standards in licensed premises across the country. It encourages the responsible retailing of alcoholic products and also promotes creating a safe atmosphere in which people can enjoy the entertainment provided.

David Melville, KeeleSU Bars and Entertainments Manager explains, “We are proud to have been awarded the Gold Award for the fifth year running. In 2014, of all the many unions that entered across the UK, we were one of only eight to be shortlisted for the national award. There is a lot of work that gets put into being able to achieve this by all the staff within KeeleSU and we will continue working hard to maintain this high standard.”

By taking part in this scheme, KeeleSU showcases its dedication to providing the best events possible, in the safest way possible.

The high profile Best Bar None Awards ceremony will take place in July where the finalists and an overall winner will be announced.
