Keele subjects among world elite

We offer a distinctive educational experience and to be listed alongside the world's elite is a very impressive achievement, which maintains our reputation for teaching excellence.

Keele University has been placed amongst the world's elite institutions in 3 of the 36 subjects featured in this year's QS World University Rankings by Subject, which will be published on 29 April 2015 on www.topuniversities.comand by leading media around the world .

For the fifth edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, they evaluated 3,551 universities, qualifed 2,186 and ranked 894 institutions in total. More than 100 million citation attributions were analysed and they verified the provision of more than 14,000 programs.

Keele subjects Politics & International Studies and Sociology were placed in the top 200 (in the 151 - 200 band) and Medicine was in the top 350 (301 - 350).

  • Keele picked up eight top 10 positions in the recent Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey. Keele’s library and its opening times were ranked 1st, following a major redevelopment of the facility in 2014 linked to students' feedback of what they needed. The University - ranked 21st overall - was joint 4th for ‘high-quality staff/lecturers’ and joint 5th for ‘community atmosphere’. The University also scored highly for ‘good environment on campus/around the university', with students reinforcing that they would recommend Keele to their friends.
