Moving up Sunday Times League Table

Posted on 26 September 2014

Keele has moved up four places in the prestigious Sunday Times University League Table 2015 - the most authoritative and widely respected guide to universities in the UK.

It is one of the most comprehensive tools for students and parents at home and abroad, and ranks 123 UK universities according to student satisfaction, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications, student/staff ratios, degree results, service and facilities spend, and completion rates. The University is now in 40th place in the table.

The Sunday Times and The Times  identified the centres of excellence within each of 66 subject areas. Physiotherapy at Keele was placed 2nd (1st in England); Social Policy, 7th; American Studies, 11th; Medicine, joint 14th; Sociology, 14th; Pharmacy, joint 16th, and Social Work, 19th.

Last month the National Student Survey placed Keele first in the country for student satisfaction.

Feedback from Keele students found them to be happy with the quality their university experience and rated their courses as intellectually stimulating, with the staff good at explaining things and enthusiastic about what they are teaching.
