Biography

I joined the school in January 2010 from the University of Sheffield where I was a lecturer in public health in the School of Health & Related Research. I have a professional background in clinical pharmacy and I completed my PhD at the University of Nottingham on cardiac rehabilitation patients’ perspectives on medicines and lifestyle modification. My research interests mainly lie in the fields of medicines usage and pharmacy practice, although I also have interests in a diverse variety of related fields, including public health, health services research and implementation science. I supervise students doing their DPharm, PhD and undergraduate projects, and I teach qualitative research methods and a variety of topics in pharmacy practice. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health.

Research and scholarship
