Rajmil Fischman presents Master class in Peru

Professor Rajmil Fischman was an invited international guest at the festival La Trenza Sonora, at the National Conservatoire of Lima, Peru. (15-18 June 2016) The festival included the world premiere of his work La Jaula Invisible (The Invisible Cage, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RSCRpxHlXo) for saxophone and Manual Actions Expressive System; performed by Fischman together with Spanish saxophonist Iñigo Ibaibarriaga.
During the festival Fischman also performed Ruraq Maki for Manual Actions Expressive System (https://vimeo.com/55093629), gave a master class titled Handmade Musical Expression, was a panellist in a round table on the present and future of Peruvian electronic music and, together with saxophonist Ibaibarriaga and other performers, participated in a free improvisation that concluded the festival.
He was also interviewed by Peruvian National Radio Filarmonía, including the broadcast of his works Sin Los Cuatro (digital audio), ¡A Que No Me Quemas! (bass clarinet and digital audio), And I Think to Myself. (digital audio). The visit to the National Conservatoire presented an opportunity to advance discussions on a possible memorandum of understanding between this institution and Keele University.
