The School of Law is pleased to invite you to the latest installment of the Keele International Law Lecture Series, the details of which are listed below.

The lecture, by Prof. Olivier Corten (Université Libre de Bruxelles), will be on the topic of "International Law and Film" and will take place on Tuesday 7 February 2017, 4-6pm, in room HNB0.26 (Hornbeam Building).

In his lecture, Prof. Corten will present his latest research on the complex relationship between international law, cinema and other forms of popular culture. Movie excerpts will be used to interrogate how international legal institutions, norms and situations are represented in films and, conversely, how films shape the manner in which we think of what is ethically and legally right, wrong, just or possible in international affairs.

As space is limited, we kindly ask that you register your attendance in advance of the event.

We look forward to seeing many of you for what promises to be a very exciting event.

Best wishes,
Mario Prost.
