Laura Will

I graduated from Keele University in July 2014 with a 2:1 in Law.

Immediately after leaving Keele, I got my first full time job as a legal secretary at a high street firm.

After 12 months, I then became a commercial and financial services paralegal at Shoosmiths, in their Birmingham office, whilst studying the LPC part time at the University of Law.

After a year of being a paralegal, I obtained a training contract with Shoosmiths, which I started in 2018.

I have done seats in construction, corporate restructuring and advisory and banking (via a client secondment at Lloyds’ Bank).

I will be qualifying in September 2020, and I hope to specialise in corporate restructuring and advisory.

During my time at Keele, I was involved in the Bar Society committee for two years, I was a student representative, an e-mentor, and I also got involved in mooting and client interviewing competitions. Keele was instrumental in helping me to achieve my career goals. I was always so well supported by the Law School and its people, particularly by my tutor. I am very grateful for my time at Keele and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
