I am passionate about education and I have worked in Schools, FE and HE. I have also worked for Npower and the Civil Service as an Employer Advisor. I have worked in liaison with Business for the past 12 years in various roles. I am a fully qualified Recruitment Consultant, Careers Adviser and a Work Based Learning Apprenticeship Tutor-Assessor. I was pleased to be involved in the ‘Moments of Choice’ research with the Careers and Enterprise Company and I am part of the National Educators Advisory Council for Barclays Life Skills. I am also Vice Chair of Governors for a local school and an Enterprise Advisor for the LEP/CEC.

Career highlights include running a successful Job Shop at Stoke on Trent College. Setting up a new WBL programme and new Sixth Form offer for City College; with national acclaim with visits from Prince Charles and Lord Berco. Recently, I am proud of the successful delivery of the Keele Research Innovation Support Programme and the impact this programme has had with Staffordshire SMEs and creating excellent learning opportunities for our undergraduates.
