I arrived at Keele in 2012 as an undergraduate in English and American Literature and went on to complete a Masters in the same subject in 2015-16. In 2017, I received a Graduate Teaching Assistantship and embarked on my PhD studies in American Literature.
I joined KIITE in 2019 as a study skills tutor and became a Curriculum Developer in 2021. As a Curriculum Developer, I provide curriculum consultancy and work on a number of student success initiatives. I am interested in working collaboratively with colleagues to create innovative teaching practices and inclusive learning communities, through which students are supported and encouraged to engage with their curriculum and academic practice.
My work in curriculum consultancy is informed by my background in higher education. In addition to my work in learning development, I have taught and convened modules across multiple schools at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have also worked as a Research Associate on multiple national pedagogical projects, resulting in open access resources that support colleagues in their online and hybrid teaching practices during and after the pandemic.
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and honoured recipient of a Keele Excellence Award in Learning and Teaching (2020).
