I have been a careers guidance practitioner in HE for 20+ years, building upon previous schools-based work in Cheshire, Yorkshire and North London, and have recently been awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). My particular interest is in career decision making and the guidance processes embracing supporting students through guidance interviews, workshops, modules and online resources.

Working closely with my colleagues in Careers and Employability, academic staff primarily in Law and Humanities, Organisational Development and other valued professionals, I deliver and review the provision of support and learning. My network of external providers such as BPP and the University of Law, to employers including local and regional law firms complements work with alumni to guide, inform and develop undergraduates at all levels. I also deliver tailored support to early career researchers through specialised workshops and running sessions for events such as Writefest and the PGR Summer School.

Alongside delivering the extra-curricular career programme for Law, I co-design and teach on a number of modules. As a member of the newly formed AGCAS Curriculum Design Task Group, I am actively engaged in collaborating to create resources for the national university guidance and employability community in higher education.

Areas of expertise: Careers Guidance and Coaching, Career Development in the Curriculum, Employability Enhancement.
