Job description

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to be part of an exciting rapidly expanding team that develops bespoke web applications.  Our clients include Blue-chip FTSE 100 companies and top legal firms. This is an exciting opportunity to develop cutting edge web apps that assist legal firms nationwide, with potential international services planned.  We already have a couple of Keele graduates working in this area so you will be working alongside these people.

You need to have a passion for software development/programming – full training and lots of support is on offer.  Once you join our team, we hope that you will stay with us - we will reward you financially and support you as much as we are able to.

The role

  • Develop projects from concept through to delivery
  • Online client liaison - investigation and analysis of issues
  • Customise and develop existing products
  • Adhere to project management process and work toward deadlines
  • Working in a professional manner within in a team and also individually

Person Requirements

Essential:

  • Ability and desire to learn quickly
  • A good problem solving, logical and methodical mind
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in at least one of the following: PHP, JS , SQL
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in CSS/HTML

A bonus (but not essential) would be knowledge of/and or experience in the following;

  • Frameworks (eg Laravel, Symfony, JQuery, React)
  • Version Control (GIT)
  • Implement SCRUM practices to report progress and work with other team members
  • Knowledge of GitHub Actions and/or AzureDevOps to run development pipelines
