Prof Tripet organises Royal Society meeting on mosquito control

Posted on 26 January 2017

This Royal Society meeting will address crucial knowledge gaps in the ecology of mosquito release programmes.

The event, convened at the Royal Society's Chicheley Hall 3-4 April and organised by Frederic Tripet (CAEP, Keele University) with Jeff Powell (Yale University), Alessandra Della Torre (University of Rome) and Abdoulaye Diabate (IRSS, Burkina Faso), will bring together outstanding experts in mosquito molecular biology, population genetics, ecology, behaviour and modelling to identify the unique cross-disciplinary challenges posed by novel genetic mosquito control programmes aimed at interrupting disease transmission.
