Dr William Kirk at Thrips Workshop in Kenya
Dr William Kirk attended a workshop at Kimana in Kenya on "Vegetable Thrips and Tospovirus IPM" from 19-20 January 2016.
He gave an invited talk with the title "IPM of thrips pests: the potential of pheromones". Amongst the workshop attendees were researchers, smallholder farmers, extension officers and a government minister. The workshop included a visit to a farm where a smallholder farmer was putting Integrated Pest Management (IPM) of vegetable crops into practice.
