Biologists from Keele's Centre for Applied Entomology and Parasitology were well represented at the year's meeting of the British Society for Parasitology at Imperial College London.

Two Keele faculty members currently sit on the BSP council: Prof Paul Horrocks will this year take on the role of Hon. General Secretary, while Dr Catherine Merrick is the Hon Communications Secretary.  Paul chaired one of the malaria sessions at this year's conference, while Catherine chaired the Science Communication session.
Many CAEP reearchers also participated: Nancy Dawam, Ibrahim Ali and Sarah Oates spoke about research from the Tripet, Horrocks and Price labs, while Nana Andoh, James Edwards-Smallbone and Hamza Hameed presented posters.  Dr Edwards-Smallbone (Merrick lab) also spoke about conducting successful outreach in the Science Communication session.
