Software research and development company move to Keele University Science and Innovation Park
Keele University’s Science and Innovation Park has welcomed software research and development company, BitJam, to its community.
Managing Director, Carl Plant, has worked in both computing and healthcare before setting up BitJam in 2011. Bitjam works closely with clients to utilise technology to enhance and support healthcare, education and business, expanding to other sectors with an approachable and flexible model to provide the solutions to IT-based problems.
Carl commented: “We knew that moving to the Keele University Science and Innovation Park was the best move we could make. As a software research and development company we want to make new partnerships and expand existing relationships. The Science Park has not only given us access to University expertise, but also a network of like-minded companies.
“Coming to Keele University puts us right in heart of some of the best research in the field and sectors that we work in. Being on the campus also allows us to work closely with Keele University on projects to generate ideas, look at gaps in research and the market, and put something together to bridge these gaps.”
The Keele University Science and Innovation Park houses office space ideal for start-ups, spin-outs or larger companies looking for new premises. The accommodation offers organisations a prestigious address, flexible accommodation and convenience right on site with access to academic research and dedicated support for growth via the University’s Business Gateway.

Carl continued: “Keele University has supported us via its Business Gateway which has enabled us to develop and grow. Having their support has helped to bring fresh talented staff into the team and grow the company – we’ve even had students from the University undertake internships, which has then developed into a full-time paid role!”
