Green Week 2015

Posted on 20 March 2015

Keele’s fourth annual Green Week is drawing to a close and we have seen yet another fantastic week packed with events, from a sustainability themed quiz, film night and debate, to mindful gardening, conservation volunteering and stargazing in the stardome. The aims of Green Week are to raise awareness about environmental and social sustainability issues and encourage the campus community to reflect upon how different aspects of sustainability relate to their lives. One key highlight included an arts/drama based workshop run by Keele’s Community Animation and Social Innovation Centre (CASIC) in which staff and students from different disciplinary backgrounds explored what sustainability meant to them and their subject discipline areas through imagining future planetary scenarios.

Green Week is an important week for the university which showcases Keele’s commitment to the environment and sustainability agenda and is a chance for everyone to get involved and try something new.

Green: Keele staff would like to say a big thank you to all the student volunteers who have given their time this week to make sure all events and activities have run smoothly.
