After a week of successful events across the University campus that focused on green issues, the final event of this year's Green Week, "Our Positive Future", took place last Monday in the Westminster Theatre. The Chancellor, Jonathon Porritt, CBE, discussed the importance of having a positive future vision, as reflected in his latest book, the 'World We Made', which describes the key events, technological breakthroughs, and lifestyle revolutions that can create a sustainable future.

The Chancellor invited the audience to reflect upon the outcomes of the visioning of Keele in 2020 to which staff and students contributed during the previous week.

For the panel discussion the Chancellor was joined by Professor Pat Bailey, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Pro-Vice Chancellor; Dr Zoe Robinson, Director of Education for Sustainability; Emmanuel Blondel, President of 'Think:Green' Student-led service; Victoria Taylor, President of the Students' Union, and Lisa Ironside President of the KPA, pictured above. Some of the key discussion topics focussed on students' engagement and activism, renewable energy on campus and learning about sustainability through the formal and informal curriculum.
