Sustainable Chemistry Module
Sustainable Chemistry, a level 2 core module for the Single Honours Chemistry BSc, will be launched this semester. Dr Katherine Haxton received a "Teaching Innovation Award"
from the Learning and Professional Devel-opment Centre for the module. The module focuses on the contribution of chemistry into creating a more sustainable future through the themes of modern materials, technology, and industry. By looking at the environmental and societal impacts of chemistry developed through complex, real-world narratives, students will emerge with new awareness of global environmental and societal issues surrounding modern chemistry.
