Kid Carpet

Supersonic Gigs

Supersonic Gig.
Sunday 21st April, 4:30 - 6pm. Keele University Chapel. Bookings now open, see link at the bottom of this page.

Kid Carpet makes peculiar disco-punk music with Casio keyboards, things that other people have thrown away … and cardboard!

Kid Carpet is a musician who produces simple, catchy songs and disruptively charming shows. He creates superheroes out of everyday people and ordinary things. Our DIY DJ has a big heart and big beats, creating mystical music for big AND little people! The gig is free, family-friendly, and accessible to everyone.

With a punk rock attitude and battery-operated, wonky wisdom, Kid Carpet brings you an experience like no other that the older folk in the audience might appreciate as a weird and wonderful mix of everything from Ivor Cutler through Gorillaz to The Fall.

Hosted by everyone’s favourite alt-rocker and psych-storyteller, Anna Palmer, the gig will focus on celebrating Earth Day. So join Appetite, ArtsKeele, and the UK's premiere experimental music festival – Supersonic – for a joyful and quite possibly ridiculous romp through live music!

The show is entirely relaxed, so feel free to get up, move around and make as much noise as you like!

The event takes place in the Chapel, number 7 on this campus map.
