Welcome back
Some good news and just a few changes:-
- The IT Suite and Labs are being upgraded to Windows 7 and Office 2010. This will be complete by the start of Semester 1. As part of the upgrade you will need to reset your password, by following the link to change password, in order to log on in the IT Suite/Labs.
- The introduction of the New Wireless network back in April has enabled us to remove the old Keele wireless. You will now need to log on to the network called KeeleWifi. There is more information about wireless at Keele on our website.
- If you are living in Halls of Residence you will be pleased to know that we have been testing games consoles on HallsNet. The PS3, Xbox and Wii look like they will be able to connect but you will need to purchase additional hardware to connect them to your PC. Further information will be available when testing is complete.
- The way in which your 2Gb HallsNet quota is added has now changed. Now you will no longer be cut off once you use all your quota, but you will notice a significant reduction in download speed and quota will be added at a rate of 2Mb per minute. More information here
- You have probably noticed that the students.keele.ac.uk page is now a portal - The Office tab is now the link to eVision, and you still have all your usual Keele Learning Environment features, with a new customisable front page.
