I was first appointed to Keele as a member of the technical staff in the Department of Geography in 1967. I was promoted to Laboratory Superintendent in 1983 and became the University’s Meteorological Officer in 1975, a position I still hold. In 1995 I was appointed School Administrator in the newly formed Department of Earth Sciences, becoming School Manager of Earth Sciences and Geography . I was appointed to the newly created School Manager post when the School of Physical and Geographical Sciences was formed in August 2005.
