Welcome
The School of Public Policy and Professional Practice is responsible for a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught Social Science programmes. These include postgraduate programmes in Education, Health and Social Work and Teaching programmes leading to professional qualifications.
It delivers a dual honours principal programme in Educational Studies and a single honours degree programme in Social Work.
The School is home to approximately 210 undergraduate students, 270 PGCE students, 36 postgraduate Social Work students and 200 other part-time postgraduates on taught programmes.
The School consists of 9 Professors, 5 Senior Lecturers and around 25 permanent Lecturers, in addition to some 20 part-time and temporary lecturers, teaching/ tutor fellows and other academic-related staff. Its activities are supported by a Senior School Manager and around 22 support staff.
