Welcome to Widening participation at Keele. Widening Participation is about giving people with the ability to benefit from a university education the information and opportunity to access it.

Keele University is committed to fair access, ensuring that all our courses (including the most competitive) can be accessed by students from any background. We practice fair admissions policies and provide bursaries (financial payments to undergraduates) and support in order that individuals from under-represented groups in university have the best chance of success when choosing Keele as a place to study.

In order to achieve our objective we work with 1000s of school-aged students every year. We also work with parents, teachers, Connexions, other HEIs and external partners providing information and aspiration-raising activities.

Most of our work is now delivered through our KeeleLink partnership programme, which aims to provide maximum benefit to our local and regional partner schools and colleges. Information about this work and our current projects is contained in this site.
