Mwenda Kaelima

I am a graduate of the Universities of Nairobi, Edinburgh and Glasgow Caledonian. From the last, I obtained a PhD (Law) focusing on the ‘ground level’ policing of the impact of transnational migration - based on the Eastward expansion of the EU under the A8 framework.  My wider research and consultancy interests are in the core areas of transnational security, policing governance and anti-terrorism in emerging economies. I welcome inquiries on potential research collaborations as well as doctoral supervision especially on the subject hate crime, Torture and transnational state crimes as well as terrorism and counterterrorism (especially) in the horn of Africa, which have points of contact with recent research and consultancy engagements.
