We already have a concrete washout system on the market, which has been available for a couple of years. However, we encountered an issue with treating the pH levels in the wastewater. Discharging it as-is was not permitted, and it was considered a hazard on construction sites.

So, we approached Keele University to see if they could develop a solution to buffer the pH levels and bring them down to a safe level. Our goal is to provide a cost-effective and environmentally safe solution to the construction industry.

Working with CRiSP (Centre for Research, Innovation, and Sustainability in Precast) at Keele, we found that they fully understood and followed the objectives we had set for them. I would highly recommend CRiSP to other businesses looking to collaborate with students and academics on projects.

It's important to note that sometimes people may underestimate the potential of students, assuming they may not be as advanced as desired. However, we found that their fresh perspectives and eagerness brought a unique and innovative approach to the project we assigned them.
