Self-Funding Students

All overseas students are required to pay a £4,000 deposit towards your tuition fees or provide evidence of approved acceptable financial sponsorship, regardless of if you require a visa to study in the UK. This advance payment should only be paid after you receive your offer of admission and wish to accept that offer. Tuition fee deposits are refundable under specific circumstances.

You will not be sent a Visa Checklist required to request a CAS statement for a student visa to study in the UK until this payment is received.

For payment by Bank Transfer

To make a Bank Transer, please contact Keele University Income Office via email to request our bank details.

Once you have the details request your bank to transfer £4,000 GBP net of bank charges to Keele University's bank account.

When making a payment by bank transfer or cheque, you must quote your student number followed by either:

TF – if the payment is for tuition fees only.
RF – if the payment is for accommodation only.
BF – If the payment is for both tuition and accommodation.

Please ensure that the amount you send will cover any bank charges. Any bank charges will be payable by you and not by the University. To do this, you will need to inform your bank that you’ll be paying all bank charges otherwise we will not receive the full deposit.

Western Union Bank-to-Bank Transfer

International students can pay their fees using the Keele University’s bank transfer platform powered by our partner Western Union Business Solutions.

Simply enter your student ID and contact details, the amount you want to pay, your chosen currency and you will be supplied a quote for the amount in your local currency. This quotation is guaranteed for 72 hours during which time you should instruct your bank to transfer funds (online, at branch or via phone) to Western Union Business Solutions who then will forward the sterling payment to Keele University.
