Application to Keele

To apply you must first be nominated by your home university. Once you have been nominated you will be invited to apply online. You will be emailed using the address supplied by your home university.

The following supporting documents are required when applying to study at Keele:

English Language Requirements

As classes at Keele are taught in English, all students must be able to prove they have a sufficient level of English to be able to cope with the course from the beginning. If you are a non-native English speaker, you will need to submit an appropriate English Language qualification or attend one of our pre-sessional English courses.

EU Partner Universities

• Single Semester study - you do not need to show proof of English Language in the form of IELTS/TOEFL ibt, however a letter from your home university is required stating that you are of CEFR B2 level. If you have a qualifying IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate this will also be accepted.
• Full Year Study – As you will require a student visa you must provide an IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate (scores below). Alternatively, you may be able to undertake a diagnostic English test online by Keele Universities Language Centre.

Non-EU Partner Universities

You must provide a valid IELTS score of at least 5.5, with no component less than 5.5 is required. Keele also accepts TOEFL iBT with a score of 72 (components - listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 17).

Accommodation

Once you have applied online, your application will be processed and you will be emailed an invitation to apply for accommodation. Details on the accommodation application process can be found here however you will not be able to apply until invited by the Global Opportunities Team.

Acceptance

Providing you have supplied all supporting documents and have met Keele’s requirements, you will be emailed either an acceptance letter from Keele or CAS letter if you require a student visa. These documents will be sent to you no earlier than mid-July.
