Welcome to students from India

Just one hour from Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool, and 1.5 hours from London, Keele is located in the heart of England on a 600-acre campus that was voted as one of the most beautiful in the UK. Keele was founded in 1949 by the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford, and is world-renowned for the breadth of its teaching and research.

Everything is on your doorstep at Keele. Our beautiful 600-acre campus is self-contained with student accommodation, teaching buildings, restaurants and cafés, a sports centre, and medical centre all within easy reach.

We deliver a unique and international learning experience. We teach in small groups, provide one-to-one access to our academics, and value the quality of our teaching as highly as our cutting-edge research.

Keele offers a friendly and supportive environment for international students, with regular gatherings and events that help new students to settle in.

Keele delivers a unique and international learning experience. We teach in small groups, provide one-to-one access to our academics, and value the quality of our teaching. We were awarded the ‘Gold Award’ in the first teaching excellence framework - the highest rating.

We guarantee accommodation on campus for all September start international students who apply by 30 June, with the option to live on campus for the full duration of your course. Our accommodation is clean and secure, with staff available 24 hours a day to offer support and advice.

There is a regular, direct bus service to the nearest town of Newcastle-under-Lyme which takes just 15 minutes. Here you will find cinemas, restaurants, music venues and a range of shops and supermarkets.

There is also a direct bus from campus to the bigger city of Stoke-on-Trent where you can take a train to London (90 minutes), Birmingham (45 minutes) and Manchester (35 minutes).

World food, including Asian cuisine, is found in the Refectory Food Court. Keele students from Asia also often shop at the two Asian Supermarkets in Stoke-on-Trent where they can find many familiar cooking ingredients (one supermarket offers a free shuttle bus service 3 days a week booked in advance). There are also many large supermarkets closer to the campus.

The International Student Support Office is the first point of contact for international students for any problems they might have.

Immigration and visa advice is provided by the Advice and Support at Keele (ASK) unit.

Our friendly Student Services Team give practical academic advice and also look after the welfare of our students. All undergraduate students are assigned a Personal Tutor who will support and guide them through their studies at Keele.
