School of Medicine Clinical Leadership Academy Academy specialises in developing clinician leaders, at all levels, to assist career progression and individual development.
Nursing and Midwifery
Within the School of Nursing and Midwifery we have a large number of Post-registration courses and modules. Students can undertake modules as part of a wider component of study, or as a ‘stand alone’ module in order to broaden their depth of knowledge and enquiry, and relate this to personal interests and clinical placement expertise.
Pharmacy and Healthcare
We have over 20 years’ experience in delivering postgraduate courses to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. We are proud of our highly acclaimed reputation; we have extensive experience of designing programmes of study that are easily accessible and relevant to working healthcare professionals.
Law, History, Social, Political and Global Studies
Many of our Law postgraduate diplomas and Master's degrees that will be of direct interest to practitioners are taught by way of four three day block sessions. Each block meets the annual CPD requirement of 16 hours as currently set by the SRA.
As well as teaching about the local history of Staffordshire and surrounding area, we also offer courses on the methods and practice of local history study, as well as key skills such as document reading and analysis, and short courses on topical subjects that regularly attract students from overseas. Of particular note is our long-running Latin and Palaeography Summer School.
Our Skills Bootcamp in Net Zero and Smart Energy Transition and Skills Bootcamp: Wellbeing Enabler have been created to help you gain key sector-specific skills. They have both been designed with input from employers and each bootcamp will be delivered by experts from Keele University and industry partners. Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life.
Keele University is offering short courses as part of a national pilot to provide flexible university study. Developed in collaboration with local stakeholders the courses have been created with a clear focus on developing skills which are highly relevant to today’s fast paced and evolving work environment. The courses are delivered over 12 to 16 weeks using hybrid learning, this normally includes face-to-face teaching sessions and self-paced online activities. Depending on the course, face-to-face teaching will either be delivered on-campus or online.
