Volunteering

Volunteering enhances your whole student experience and gives Keele students a chance to connect with the local area and make a real difference.

Whether you're looking to do some volunteering that relates to your academic studies or you fancy trying something new, we offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities both on and off campus. You can also log your hours and track the skills you are learning to earn awards at the end of each year. All of this goes on your HEAR record which you can take to potential employers once you graduate to showcase your extra-curricular activity.

Opportunities range from community litter picks, dog walking, hospital outreach, activity planning and so much more. We also have volunteering abroad schemes and micro-volunteering, so no matter how much time you have to give we should be able to find something for you.

KeeleSU also offer a wide range of training sessions to help you gain transferable employability skills; examples of sessions include leadership, public speaking, event planning and fundraising.

Full details of our opportunities and training can be found on the SU web pages

If you would like more information about student volunteering in the community, then please email su.volunteering@keele.ac.uk or pop into the Student Opportunities Office on the top floor of the Students’ Union building.
