Biography

I am a graduate of the University of Leicester and I pursued a mixed academic and industrial career with the research groups of ICL, STC, Northern Telecom and thee National Computing Centre before joining Keele in 1996. In my industrial role I have led both research and development projects and acted in a consulting role for both government and industry.

Research and scholarship

My research area is Software Metrics and their application to project management, quality control, risk management and the evaluation of software systems and processes. I.m a member of the Evidenced Based Software Engineering Group at Keele I also have additional research interests in Component Based Software Engineering and in particular the support required for the design process when designing with components and services.
