Allied Health Professions
The School of Allied Health Professions has a long established research programme in physiotherapy related areas.
Rehabilitation research group
The Rehabilitation group is a cross-disciplinary research group which brings together scientists and engineers with clinical researchers to tackle the physical limitations brought on by neuromuscular and skeletal disease, injury and ageing.
Physiotherapy research society
The Society was formed to promote research in physiotherapy. We encourage high quality research relevant to physiotherapy practice and education and we foster critical awareness throughout the profession. Our main activity is hosting a research conference every spring.
Knowledge exchange groups
The purpose of SIGNeT (Special Interest Group for Neurological Therapists) is to provide opportunities for neurological therapists to share and update knowledge, improve clinical skills, exchange ideas and discuss relevant research in exploring the evidence base of practice and address issues of clinical governance within the field of neurological rehabilitation.
