Part of the Impact and Engagement Festival

Creative Friday

A celebration of innovation in community-based, collaborative and creative research at Keele.

Our Creative Friday event had originally been planned to take place in June (2021), during our Impact & Engagement Festival, but because of the pandemic, we had to postpone it until September (2021).

The aim of the event was to present and celebrate the creative methods, high impact and engaged research taking place at Keele, as well as to share best practices among the Keele research community and to share methods and experiential approaches to public engagement work across research activities.

The event helped to consolidate relationships between Keele’s research community and invited external partners  The focus was very much on building new networks between researchers and with external partners and recognising and celebrating excellence in creative, publicly engaged research across all three Faculties of the university.

There were a number of presentations from external partners as well as some practical workshops.  On display were the outcomes and outputs of creative, collaborative and community-based research projects involving Keele researchers.

The event also saw the launch of the CO-CREATE Network - Keele’s community-centred, creative and collaborative research methods network, supporting public engagement in research.
