Biography
Sally Phillimore MSc, Pg Dip, BA (Hons), Dip, Pg Cert Ed, RNT, SFHEA - I have over 20 years of clinical and educational nursing experience in adult and public health nursing and across pre-registration and post-registration nursing curricula. My clinical nursing experience covers specialised acute nursing and primary care nursing including case management, district nursing, practice nursing, school nursing, and latterly health visiting. I was a practice teacher for health visiting students before moving into higher education in June 2013. Within Higher Education I have worked across several teams including nursing and specialist practice, physician associates and public health. I have been a module leader, course leader, academic practice lead for the private, voluntary, and independent sector and latterly Head of Nursing before moving to Keele University. I have experience as an external examiner and external advisor and I am currently an NMC registrant visitor. I hold a registered teaching qualification with the NMC and Senior Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy. I have led on NMC validation events and internal quality periodic reviews. I have several publications to date all with a focus to quality improvement or interprofessional working. I have taken the role as Assistant Director for Undergraduate Programmes within the School of Nursing and Midwifery here at Keele University which complements my previous roles and experiences.
