Biography

Faye qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing from Staffordshire University after serving for 13 years in the Royal Navy. After qualifying, Faye worked in A&E and MIU which allowed her to consolidate her learning and increase knowledge in various clinical skills. Faye then worked as a School Staff Nurse, progressing to undertake the PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (School Nursing) qualification and the V100 Community Practitioner Nurse Prescriber qualification at Wolverhampton University.

Faye was lead School Nurse for secondary schools and Child Exploitation within the 0-19 team she joined; working with children, young people and families, alongside schools and other agencies, to promote the best outcomes for all service users. Faye is interested in the utilisation of digital services in practice to support health promotion and has worked on the development of online health questionnaires and supported the implementation of a website with local information for children, young people and families previously.

Faye has completed a MSc in Primary Healthcare, focussing on the School Nurse role in Health Promotion. Faye worked at Wolverhampton University as a Lecturer in Health prior to joining Keele as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing.
