Biography

Muhammad Usman is a lecturer in biostatistics at Keele University, UK. He completed MSc in applied statistics and biostatistics from Hasselt University, Belgium and MSc in statistics from University of Peshawar. In 2020, he completed PhD degree with thesis titled as ‘Multiple risk factor control in individuals with type 2 diabetes and microalbuminuria’ in Leicester diabetes centre, at University of Leicester, UK. Prior to this he worked as a statistician in academia since 2009 in the UK.

Research and scholarship

His research interests include:
- Randomised controlled trials
- Cohort observational studies
- Electronic health records
- Systematic review and meta-analysis
He is a member of Keele’s Biostatistics Group.

Teaching

Muhammad Usman is a teaching team member of the Fundamentals of Statistics with Applications in R module in BSc Mathematics degree course.
