Study design
Prospective cohort study in people consulting with respiratory or abdominal symptoms in primary care (national multi-centre study).
Developmental work included a Delphi consensus study among clinicians and cancer researchers, and a qualitative interview study among patients with lung or colorectal cancer (led by Keele University)
Primary objective
To develop and validate clinical prediction rules for the early identification of patients at increased risk of lung and colon cancer.
