About Keele Medical School

Our School offers an outstanding range of research and teaching expertise within a thriving multi-professional health and care community. We are a diverse community, all focused on delivering the best in teaching, research and innovation. We are home to internationally renowned teams of researchers and methodologists, answering questions that will have a profound effect on the health and care of the nation.

We are committed to graduating excellent health and social care practitioners from our range of courses as well as working in partnership with NHS stakeholders. We aim to help improve health care, recruitment and retention of health and social care professionals in our area by our course provision. Our courses include Medicine MBChB, Social Work MA/BA, Counselling and Psychotherapy Graduate Certificate/Masters, Physician Associate Studies MSc, Clinical Education (PgCert, PgCert Di, PgDip, MSc), Public Health BSc (Hons) and Paramedic Science MSci.

Our research programme delivers high-quality multidisciplinary research designed to improve the content, delivery and configuration of primary care for the benefit of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, mental health problems, cardiovascular disease and other long-term conditions.

Keele University School of Medicine declares a climate emergency. We have established a new sustainability working group for the School in order to improve education and sustainability.

Partnerships

We are delighted to work in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders and partners across health and social care arenas. Our partnerships include primary, secondary, community and social care providers within the NHS, local authorities as well as private and third sector (voluntary) organisations. Our education and research benefit from strong engagement with patients and public members from across our communities.
