Drug misuse

Drug Misuse Research in Medicines Management is part of the Addiction Research Group at Keele University.

Current work includes:

  • A national epidemiological study of dually diagnosed substance misuse and psychiatric disorders between 1993-1998 using the General Practice Research Database (funded by the Department of Health).
  • Using path analysis to model the hierarchy of risk and protective factors among vulnerable people accessing designated adolescent drug services in England in order to target preventive and treatment initiatives (funded by the Home Office).
