Prunus 'Kursar'
A product of crossing Prunus campanulata (not hardy in the UK latitudes) with P. kurilensis by Capt. Collingwood Ingram. ‘Kursar’ is dark pink, early flowering and frost resistant cherry, vigorous, forming a tree and floriferous. Darkest flowers amongst hardy cherries. This image is from an earlier specimen that has since died.
