Species and varieties in the National Collection of Flowering Cherries at

Prunus 'Gotenba'
Considered in the Manual of Japanese Flowering Cherries to be a natural hybrid between Prunus incisa and an unidentified species. Discovered by Mr Kenji Watanabe planted in and around Gotenba City and others just south and east of Mount Fuji Volcano, Honshu. It comes into flower about a week later than P. incisa.
