Keele Green Festival 2021

Keele Green Festival 2021 is exploring our Journey to Zero Carbon. This year's Green Festival will be an online celebration of sustainability, people leading in embedding sustainability across the university, and key projects that are reducing carbon emissions both on campus, and with impact locally and nationally. The programme will include online talks, social media takeovers with our student Sustainability Interns and Sustainability Bungalow Housemates, a Q&A with experts leading exciting projects that are driving action to tackle climate change, online watch parties with sustainability-themed documentaries, and a range of wellbeing activities to promote mental and physical health.

Since Keele's Climate Emergency declaration in 2019, work has been taking place to get the university to zero carbon by 2030, and we'll also be launching the first stage of our Climate Citizens' Assembly work. Every action we make, as individuals, teams within the university, and as an organisation, contribute to Keele's carbon footprint and impact on the world. We want to ensure your voices can be heard and can help drive our way forward to achieving carbon neutrality. We'll be circulating a survey that will run throughout the 2021 Green Festival, and invite students and staff across the university to contribute your input, expertise and views as we collectively work towards a zero carbon campus.
