You automatically become a member of Keele Students’ Union (SU) when you become a student at Keele University. Keele SU is there to advise, support and represent students.
The SU will provide you with opportunities to get involved in throughout your time as a Keele student, so be sure to check what’s going on during welcome and beyond.
There are over 150 student-led clubs and societies at Keele SU. They range from academic societies such as law, performance groups like dance, all the way to societies that are interest based like Harry Potter. And if you can’t find a society that represents your interests, you can set up your own!
Want to keep fit and healthy while at Keele or maybe try your hand at a new sport? There are a wide range of facilities available at the Sports Centre.
There is a wide range of restaurants, cafes, takeaways and bars on campus, which can provide the ideal setting to catch up with friends during breaks and after lectures. Students are also able to select a catering package, and there are shops on campus to buy food from. For more information, as well as cooking tips and inspiration take a look at our food and drink webpages.
Keele University is located in North Staffordshire, just outside of the town of Newcastle-under-Lyme. The town centre has a wide selection of independent shops and bars, and students can travel slightly further afield to the city centre of Stoke on Trent for more high street names and bars and clubs.
Keele’s central location also provides easy access to Alton Towers, the Peak District, and the city centres of Manchester and Birmingham.
Keele is a diverse, multicultural and multi-faith community. We have chaplains and faith advisers from some of the major religions who can offer any student or member of staff support and guidance. The Chaplains are here to serve and support people of all faiths, and none. They can support pastorally, spiritually and emotionally. We also have spaces available on campus set aside for prayer and reflection.
